How we started

Violet Crater emerged from a simple observation: most copywriting courses taught formulaic approaches that produced generic results. Students memorized templates without understanding the underlying psychology. They learned what to write, but not why it worked.

Our founder spent fifteen years writing commercial text for brands across Europe. During that time, she noticed that successful copywriters shared certain habits and mindsets that went far beyond following formulas. They asked better questions. They understood customer psychology deeply. They tested relentlessly.

In 2019, she began teaching these principles to a small group of writers who wanted to transition into commercial work. The results surprised everyone. Within six months, most students had landed their first paid projects. Within a year, several had replaced their previous income entirely.

Our teaching philosophy

We believe copywriting is a craft that improves through deliberate practice, constructive feedback, and exposure to diverse writing challenges. Our curriculum prioritizes hands-on work over passive consumption of content.

Each lesson includes specific exercises designed to build one particular skill. You write. We review. You revise based on detailed feedback. This cycle repeats until the skill becomes intuitive. It's slower than watching videos, but the results last.

"I've taken three other copywriting courses before this one. They all taught me formulas. This programme taught me how to think like a copywriter. That's the difference between copying and creating."

— Marcus Thompson, Freelance Copywriter

What makes us different

We don't promise overnight success or miraculous transformations. Professional copywriting takes time to master, just like any worthwhile skill. What we do promise is a structured path from wherever you are now to genuine professional capability.

Our courses focus on three pillars: understanding human psychology and decision-making processes, mastering the structural elements that make commercial writing effective, and developing your unique voice that remains authentic while achieving business objectives.

Most students complete their chosen programme and continue practicing for several months before feeling truly confident. This is normal and expected. Mastery comes from accumulated experience, not from finishing a course.

Our commitment to students

When you enrol, you're not just buying access to videos and worksheets. You're joining a community of serious writers who critique each other's work, share resources, and celebrate wins together. Our private forum remains active years after students graduate.

We provide detailed feedback on every major assignment. Not generic praise, but specific observations about what's working, what isn't, and how to improve. This feedback comes from professional copywriters who still work with clients, so it reflects current market standards.

Many students return for advanced courses after establishing their initial practice. We consider this the ultimate validation. They could learn from anyone at that point, but they choose to continue with us because the teaching methodology continues delivering results.

Educational Disclaimer Our courses provide training in commercial writing techniques and copywriting principles. They do not guarantee specific career outcomes, income levels, or client acquisition. Success in professional copywriting depends on numerous factors including individual skill development, market conditions, networking efforts, and business acumen. Past student results are not indicative of future outcomes. We encourage thorough research before committing to any educational investment.
